April Nicole "Nikkie" McGhee

April Nicole “Nikkie” (Nunu) Mcghee of Knoxville, TN went to be with her heavenly father unexpectedly on March 29, 2026. Nikkie truly was an angel on earth. She always had a heart full of love and a house full of loved ones. Nikkie never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcome. Nothing meant more to Nikkie than the love of family and she was the hub of hers. Her greatest joys were being a devoted mother to Zane and Maddox and a loving wife to Gary. She had a smile that could light up the dimmest of rooms and put a smile on the face of all around her. Nikkie owned and operated Wee Kids Daycare for over 35 years. She had a passion for kids and loved them all as if they were her own.

Nikkie was preceded in death by her father, Bill Shultz, mother, Mary Shultz, mother-in-law, Linda McGhee, and brother-in-law, Billie Webb. She is survived by her husband, Gary McGhee, sons, Maddox and Zane, cousin, Mandi Watson and Aaron, niece, Danielle, nephew, Justin and Jacob, sister-in-law, Sandy Webb, brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Marilyn Kennedy. Nikkie is also survived by her dearest friends, Amy and Shorty Loy who walked beside Nikkie through life’s joy and challenges.

Nikkie was an angel on earth that was loved by all and loved all she met. She was truly a joy to be around during her time on earth and will be waiting in heaven to rejoice with her family again one day.
