Anthony "Alpo" George Allen age 48 of Knoxville, TN, closed his eyes here on earth surrounded by his family and awoke face to face with his Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
Anthony was born April 24, 1977, in Knoxville, TN. He lived a life characterized by deep devotion to his family and his unwavering faith. Throughout his life he faced every obstacle with courage and strength beating all the odds and turning his hardships into his testimony, leaving a deep impact on all who knew him.
Anthony attended Green Acres Baptist Church in Mascot, TN. He worked for many years as a custodian for Knox County Schools. Most recent years at Sarah Moore Green Elementary School. Anthony has a passion for vintage toys and video games. He and his wife traveled all over hunting down 70's. 80's, and 90's toys where he later shared knowledge and finds on Facebook live. He met many friends who shared the same love of toy picking. Throughout the years Anthony was a loyal fan through the good and bad season to his Pittsburg Steelers, L.A. Lakers, and his Tennessee Volunteers. Anthony opened his home and loved to watch sporting events with all his friends and family.
Anthony was a well accomplished in life as a hard worker who created a beautiful life for himself and the love of his life Beka and his three daughters; Chyanne, Ashlynn, and Whitley as well as his grandchildren. Anthony had a humor like no other; he could have everyone's attention with the way he told a story from the past, which usually ended with everyone in the room having tears in their eyes from laughter. He loved music, singing karaoke, and entertaining all of his friends. If you had the privilege of meeting Anthony, you were friends to the end. He cherished all his friends dearly.
In January of 2025 he was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. He confronted this battle with Courage, Strength, and Grace. He was a warrior until his very last breath. He never focused on the disease; he kept his focus on the mission that he was chosen to carry out here on earth. In the end he was not defeated, but rather, he achieved the ultimate healing!
Preceded in death by his mother, Marie Allen; brother, Gary Allen; grandson, Jersey Dempsey; father-in-law, Archie Brooks; and brother-in-law, Matthew Brooks. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Rebekah Brooks-Allen; daughters, Chyanne (Zack) Dempsey, Ashlynn (Tyllor) Wilson, Whitley (Chris) Brooks-Allen; grandchildren, Willow, Roxzie, Creed, and Lux; mother-in-law, Myra Brooks, brother-in-law, Daniel (Kristy) Brooks, and sister-in-law; Shautia Brooks' many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon Saturday, April 18, 2026, to 2:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel 4131 E. Emory Road Knoxville, TN 37938 followed by a 2:00 p.m. Funeral service, Rev. Tim Muncey officiating. Burial to follow at Clapps Chapel Church Cemetery. Pallbearers; Lee Kitts, Hans Besemann, Tyler Gorman, Braylon Brooks, Isaiah Brooks and Samuel Wolf. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mynatt Funeral Home.
