Anna Ruth Tharp

Anna Ruth (Bays) Tharp, age 81, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at her home in Corryton. She was a member of Mountain View Church of God where she was a greeter with David Staley for years. Ann was a people loving person who loved everyone she met. She was a beautiful woman with a loving heart. Ann retired from Levis in Powell. She was the 7th of 13 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hayden and Lindy Bays; husband, Lawrence (Tom) Tharp; sisters, Maggie Savage, Reba Chandler; brother Esco Bays. She is survived by her daughters, Robin (Doodle) Atkins, Melinda (Brian) Goins; grandson whom she thought of as a son, Chris (Melinda) Atkins; granddaughters, Breanna (Chad) Beeler, Makayla (Kyle) Haun; 4 great grandsons, Phillip Cooper, Aaron Atkins, Boone Haun an Kole Haun; sisters, Linda Harless, Helen Hughett, Sarah Loy; brothers, Herbert and Robert Bays; special friend, Juanita Haynes. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 4:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Lebrandon Marie officiating. Music will be provided by Jason Dyer. Family and friends will meet on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel at 12:00pm to go in procession to Community Cemetery in Luttrell for a 1:00pm graveside service with Pastor Paul Moyers officiating.
