Anna May Culpepper

Anna May Culpepper, age 95 of Knoxville, TN passed away on July 12, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1930 in Ohio and worked over 20 years for the Ann Arbor Public Schools. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. She also knitted, bowled, and was a member of a gourmet cooking club. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 46 years, Russell Howard Culpepper, Jr., parents, Mary and Val Steele and her siblings, Nora, Elaine, and Bernard Steele. She is survived by her son Russell L. Culpepper, daughter, Pat Steele and daughter Diane Culpepper, her grandchildren, Jasmine, Skylar, Brittany, Aaron and also numerous great-grandchildren that she loved dearly. 

Family and friends will meet at 2:45pm on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery for a 3:00pm graveside service.
