Ann M. Bolton (née Wilson), 93, formerly of McCormick, SC, died February 26, 2026. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth; her two sons, Jonathan and David; her daughter-in-law, Jill and son-in-law Don; and granddaughter, Grace. Ann was preceded in death by sister, Barbara.

Ann was born in London to the late Hector and Freda Wilson. She grew up in Gravesend where she rode horses and danced ballet. Living through WWII, from age seven to thirteen, greatly influenced her entire life.

She graduated from Goldsmiths’ College in London and moved to Harare, Southern Rhodesia, to teach art. There, she met Kenneth Bolton and they married in 1960. Returning to England two years later with their first son, they settled in Gravesend. In 1975, they moved to the United States, living in Rochester, MI and later retiring to McCormick, SC. Ann traveled extensively, appreciated antiques and art, volunteered for numerous organizations, kept up an active correspondence with friends and family, and loved socializing with her many cherished friends. She will be remembered for her curiosity, resilience, and independence – and always wearing bright colors. She will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The McCormick Arts Council at the Keturah (MACK) in McCormick, SC, www.mccormickarts.org.
