Angela Beth Matthews

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angela Beth Matthews, a loving mother, wife, sister and daughter. Angela's courageous battle with stroke complications came to an end on December 16, 2025. She was 59 years old.

Angela was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family and others before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage, dignity and with lots of prayer. Angela was a woman of strong faith and godly wisdom.

Being a mother and grandmother was one of the most important parts of Angela's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was an excellent mom, supportive, kind, hilarious, and witty. Her infectious laugh and you're in trouble look will be what her children remember about her most.

Anglea was predeceased by her Father; Melvin Scarbrough, Sister; Theresa Scarbrough, Step Father; William Donald Riden and loving grandparents and in-laws. She is survived by Husband; Gregory Allen Matthews, Mother; Betty Scarbrough, Sisters; Donna Watson, Vandy Fowler and Melanie King, Her Children; Gregory Jr, Amber, Samuel, Sydney, Elijah and Jesse. Her Grandchildren; Aubrey , Cace, Trenton, Kalix, Aidan, Keely, Blakley, Kamerom, Mikah and Caitlyn. Niece and Nephew; Gracie and Trey Watson and Aunts; Regina Stiles, Connie Dixon and Shirley King.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 4:00-6:00pm with a 6:00pm Celebration of Life service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Lisa Elliott officiating.
