Angela Sue Hollifield

Angela Sue Hollifield, 65, passed from this life to begin her eternal journey on Thursday, July 9, 2025 at her home in Kingsport, Tennessee, with her loving husband by her side. Angela was born on November 28, 1959 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to Wendell and Margie Daughtery.

She married Steve Hollifield on August 31, 1984, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and they have shared 41 years of memorable moments, trips and family events together. Angela devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker to her family. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Kingsport, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Margie Daugherty.

Angela is survived by her husband Steve; her loving children, son Matthew Hollifield and his wife, Lesley; and daughters Stephanie Hollifield and Kory Ransom; her grandchildren, Carson Anderson and Mila Hollifield; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark and Shawn Fawver, Tim and Sharon Hollifield, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by Aunts, Uncles, many cousins, and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA, or Kingsport Humane Society, in honor of her love for her pets. The family will have a small private memorial service for family at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:30 AM prior to the graveside service, immediately following at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville. Bobby Stair will officiate.
