Angela Marie Hagwood, 61, of Powell, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Angela is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, James “Bobby” Hagwood; her daughters, Macy Hagwood (Connor Holmberg) and Shanna (Bobby) Holcombe; her cherished grandchildren, Chloe Wescoe, Alexis Wescoe, and Will Holcombe; and her great-grandson, Brantley “Peanut.” She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Peggy Hagwood, who was like a mother to her; her sisters-in-law, Margaret (Earl) Dagley and Lisa (Chris) Yager; her brother-in-law, Chuck (Terri) Hagwood; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews and many special, lifelong friends. Whether she was spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach or the lake, cuddling with her beloved dogs, Boo Lynn and Twitch, and watching The Golden Girls, Angela had a way of making everyone around her feel loved, welcomed, and at home. Above all else, Angela was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and the love she poured into those around her will continue to live on through the countless memories she created. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unconditional love that will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Glory Church at Dante. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Lee Murphy. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodhaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Young-Williams Animal Center, in honor of Angela’s love for animals.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that the love Angela gave so freely will remain with us forever. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten
