Alvin "Bub" McMurry

Alvin "Bub" McMurry age 83, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on July 31, 2026.

Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Edith McMurry; brothers, Mike McMurry, Fred McMurry, "Bones" Donald McMurry, Gary McMurry, Butch McMurry; sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Ransome Cates; brother-in-law, Jack Longmire.

Survivors include his loving wife Linda McMurry; children, Dianne Loveday (Ray), Angela Johnson (Wayne), and David McMurry; siblings, Dale McMurry (Sherry), Termite McMurry (Donna), Brenda Thurman (Hugh), Howard McMurry, and Judy Longmire; grandchildren, Michael Johnson and Kaylie Johnson; great-grandchildren, Ivy Rose; sister-in-law, Wanda McMurry.

Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery at 10:45am on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, for an 11:00am graveside service officiated by Lee Murphy.
