Alma Lepire Brown

Alma LaRae (Lepire) Brown, age 82, of Knoxville, formerly of Olga, ND, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at her home. 

Alma was a 1967 graduate of Lake Region Community College of Nursing in Devils Lake, ND and served as an LPN for over 45 years until her retirement in 2006. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. Alma was a devout Catholic all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Orphilia and Jeanette Lepire; brothers, Raymond and Camile Lepire; sister-in-law, Sharon Thacker. 

Alma is survived by her husband, Richard L. Brown; son, Jason (Lajuana) Brown; grandchildren, Tiffany Ruffner, Lajuana Taylor and Stephanie Brown; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Yvonne Skrbec and Helen Manger; brother-in-law, James (Melody) Brown of Maryland; several nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
