Alma "Ilene" Beason

Alma "Ilene" Beason, age 83, of Knoxville passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Ilene was born and raised and lived most of her life in Knoxville. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City. She spent many years working in the Infant Care Center at Central Baptist, and was always beloved by the babies and their families that she cared for.

In addition to her mother, Gladys Seay, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Eugene Beason, son Mark Beason and his wife Dottie, daughter Joni Webb and her son-in-law Chuck May.

Surviving are her daughters, Rhonda May of Knoxville and Paula Abernathy (Mike) of Chattanooga, granddaughter Katherine Beason and grandson Christopher Beason.

 The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 12:00-2:00PM at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a service to follow with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. Family and friends will go in procession to Greenwood Cemetery a 3:00PM graveside service.
