Aletta Kathleen Brooks

Aletta Brooks, age 73, of Knoxville, TN, in the early morning hours of November 28, 2025, met Jesus face to face. She was a member of Anchor Holds Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and reading. Her greatest joy was her family and going to church.

Preceded in death by her son, James Edward Brooks; her parents, Lon and Hazel Hayes; brothers, Ralph, Dallas, Melvin, Lonnie, Howard, and Steve; sisters, Lena, Juanita, and Phyllis; and daughters in law, Kristi Brooks and Tammy Brooks.

Survived by her husband, William Brooks Sr.; her children, Stephanie (Don) Slaninka, Scotty (Lora) Williams, Billy Brooks, Chris (Patricia) Brooks, and Shawna Brooks; her grandchildren, Jaxon, Jenna, Nathan, Dakota, Justin, Tyler, Sierra, Jeremy, Brittany, Tela, and Darius; as well as many great grandchildren.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Anchor Holds Baptist Church, also Mary and Rachel Fox.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday,  December 2, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel followed by the funeral service  at 7:00pm officiated by Pastor Jackie Painter. Family and friends will meet at 12:45pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Fort Sumter Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service. Condolences can be made at www.mynattfh.com.
