On June 11, 2025, Alden Everett Baxter went home to rest in the arms of Jesus. His parents and sisters will cherish every day he spent with them. He was the answer to their prayers, and they awaited his birth with joyful expectation. Alden entered the world on November 13, 2024. He had the biggest smile, bluest eyes, and best hair. His sweet cuddles could turn anyone’s day around and Alden was perfectly content with however his sisters wanted to love on ‘their baby’.
Alden is lovingly remembered by his parents Adam and Katherine; sisters Charlie Kate and Britton; grandparents Van & Diane Baxter; grandparents Charles & Carol Britton; Uncle David Baxter; Uncle Lanie & Aunt Delaine Britton, together with cousins Mack, Caroline, & Graham; and Uncle Tim & Aunt Mariruth Van Hal, together with cousins Vera, Vivien, Violet, & John Timothy.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22, from 2:30-4:30 pm at Fellowship Church, 8000 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37909, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 4:30 pm. Family and friends will meet Monday, June 23 at 10:45 am at the Grandview Pavilion at Grandview Cemetery, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803 for an 11:00 am graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to GiGi’s Playhouse Knoxville in honor of Alden. GiGi’s Playhouse offers free educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down Syndrome. We know that GiGi’s would have opened up many opportunities for our bud and we look forward to all the ways it will benefit the Down Syndrome community in Knoxville.
