Aileen Lakin, age 92, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Island Home Park Health & Rehab. She is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, Rev. Clyde Lakin walking the streets of gold. She devoted her life to serving the Lord and did it with grace and love; she supported him in his pastoral ministry on this earth. She led the Women’s group (WMU), she led Children’s Church and she sang so beautifully. She loved all her family so dearly. She has no more pain and no more dementia. She was absolutely the BEST wife, mother, and grandmother. She was extremely loved and will be greatly missed. She was sweet and kind to everyone she met. She is survived by sons, Mike (Bakita) Lakin and Mark (Tammy) Lakin; grandchildren, Amy (Matt) Dunn, Natalie (Cody) Gideon, Travis (Kayce) Lakin, Ciara (Quinton) Chittum, Baylee (Brandan) Votaw, Brooke (Peter) Ewing; great-grandchildren, Silas, Lily, Layne, Piper, Zeke, Anders, Chase, Liam, Audrey, Chandler, Ryder, Tucker, Hannah, Bryson and an additional great-grandchild on the way. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Monday, June 2, 2025 at Highland South Memorial Park, 9010 E. Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920 for an 11am graveside service with Rev. Eddie Sawyer and Rev. Rick Ferguson officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Island Home Park Health & Rehab, 1758 Hillwood Drive, Knoxville, TN 37920. Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
