Aaron “Ernie” L. Collette of Powell, TN (formally of Lafollette) went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022. Ernie was born June 19th, 1962 to father Billy E. Collette and mother Wilma Jean Collette. He passed away at home unexpectedly. He owned and operated his own business Ernie’s Tire for over 22 years on N. Central St in Knoxville. He was currently employed by Scott Carter at Quality Tire and battery on N. Central St. He was an avid NASCAR fan (Dale Earnhardt Sr.) and enjoyed driving and owning his own dirt track car, #13 black Mustang, for several years. Ernie enjoyed NFL football games and basketball also. Ernie watched old western movies on a regular basis.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Kenneth and Margaret Collette and Rosie and Robert Hill; father, Billy Earnest Collette; and son, Aaron matthew Collette.
Survived by mother, Wilma Jean Patty; wife, Tammy Collette; daughter, Katrina Collette; stepsons, Byron and Dustin Bradley and Reece Smith; brothers, Brian (Pearlie) Patty and family, Billy (Karen) Collette and family, Nathan (Renee) Patty and family, Gerald (Catherine) Patty; sisters, Karen (Tim) Shears and family, Lisa (Jim) Burton and family, Becky (Ricky) Brumitte and family , Arlene (Chester) Adkins; grandchildren, Isaac (Hailey) Collette, Savannah, Tabatha and Gabe Collette, Abby, Damien and Dorian Bradley; great grandchildren, Raelynn Collette; his adored fur babies, Daisy and Maggie; and a host of other nieces of nephews and other loving family members and friends throughout the Knoxville and Lafollette area. Missed by sister-in-laws Anita Coward and family, Ginger Shelton and family, and Joyce Bradley and family; brother-in-law Bobby Duncan; and from heaven above Jimbo Duncan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm with a memorial service to follow at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
