A.K. (Albert) “Pappy” Lawson Jr., age 82 of Fountain City passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at U.T. Medical Center. He was a member, deacon, and treasurer of Shannondale Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Knoxville Fire Department after 18 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Lorene and A.K. Lawson Sr. and brother, Tommy Lawson. Survived by wife of 61 years, Linda Lawson; sons, Robbie (Kelly) Lawson and Jeff (Lisa) Lawson; Grandchildren, Whittney (Jack) Vineyard, Robby (Macy) Lawson, Abby (Blake) Hixson, Connor Lawson, Payton Lawson; great grandsons, Brody, Greyson, Coleson, and Merritt; sister, Sharon Largent; brother, Victor (Vickie) Lawson; special nephew, Wayne Lawson, and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the nurses and staff of U. T. Medical Center for their loving care. Family and friends may call at their convenience on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 PM graveside service officiated by Rev.
